Every year, The GodSquad works directly with families impacted by gun violence. Here's where your kind donations will go:
- Therapeutic Wellness Services for Victims and Families: Help us support families coping with the devastating impact of gun violence. Mothers who lose a child to gun violence endure higher rates of depression, anxiety, and family conflicts. The GodSquad provides therapeutic wellness services to these families, offering support during the immediate shock and trauma, and ensuring stable, long-term contact when others may move on.
- Support youth in the Flatbush Leadership Academy/NextGen: Your sponsorship can make a significant impact on the lives of our youth participants aged 14 to 24. Whether they are part of NextGen or the Flatbush Leadership Academy, each participant is matched with a mentor. The GodSquad is dedicated to reaching out to these youths, providing programming and services aimed at positively transforming their lives. Your donation will directly contribute to stipends, field trips, food, and other essential services for their well-being and progress, linking them with crucial resources like housing, education, social support, and employment opportunities.
- Tuition for a Single Parent through Single Parents University: Being a single parent is demanding, and instructional support is often limited. Your sponsorship can provide financial management and support workshops, stress management, life skills development, standard parenting courses, legal support, and personal and social development through the Single Parents University. As a member, parents and guardians gain access to a range of resources and services provided by the 67th Precinct Clergy Council, including the Flatbush Leadership Academy, Mother’s for Safe Cities, Food Pantries, Immigration Services, Career Exploration and Development Services, and more. Support single parents in their journey to create stable and nurturing environments for their families.
